Claude and Lana saw the Team's system early in their careers as a Navy Diver and Communicator. Having met in Basic Training, they realized quickly that in the Navy they couldn't control many aspects of their own life. Many times Claude would be deployed and Lana would be home. Then Lana would go to sea and Claude would be home. It was frustrating to not only have no control over their schedules but also to not have the financial security that they wished for in their lives. They were officially in the rut at 21 years of age. Being in a lot of debt and having unpredictable schedules created obstacles that most people don't have to deal with, but they understood that they had to change some things in their life to get the desired results they were looking for. Claude and Lana learned to rely heavily on the system as a "map" to get free from the rut that consumed them. They focused on becoming the best students of the system and as a result developed a better marriage. They feel that Team’s system helped them find options to make a difference in the lives of their families and friends and help them accomplish their dreams.
